Ok I know this is funny, and I know that they say that planes are safer than driving a car to work everyday! But just to verify how safe are planes? I am flying out tomorrow from europe to the USA with Delta, how safe are their planes?
Thanks so much! I feel better LOL I am flying with a 3 yr old and a 9 month old so obviously I am a bit scared! But thank you to everyone and to everyone who will respond to my question!
i recently went on a sightseeing flight. the airplane was a piper warrior, i think. in the airplane, there are 3 passengers. the pilot asked us how much we weighted. he did some calculations, he said it’s done on every flight.
how is he calculating how much weight the airplane can take so it can take off? i’m really curious.
is it possible that the passengers can be too heavy and the piper warrior wouldn’t be able to take off?
(I’ve asked this before, but I didn’t get a lot of answers)
I personally think it’s the picture of JA 123 on Wikipedia…it scared the CRAP out of me….
what do you think is the most frightening picture of a commercial airplane crash?
I’m interested in becoming an airplane pilot, I’m pretty positive that the classes is math, science, and probably mechanics. Mechanics would probably be considered A.G. to me, which might be a bad thing since I’m not good at welding. I would also like to know how much it takes to become an airplane pilot, I heard it could get expensive. Thanks!
I was playing an airplane game, and I had just shot down an enemy airplane. Because I was flying so fast I flew right through the destroyed scraps of the enemy aircraft. It was still on fire. Now, I understand it’s a game, so my plane can fly through fire.
But what about in real life? If an airplane flies through fire, what happens? Does it get burned? I tried thinking up some stuff, like it exploding, but I couldn’t get a cause for that.
Please tell me what happens?!?!
Thanks!

I’ll be flying on a single prop. Cessna Caravan airplane in New Zealand in a couple of weeks and am wondering what it’s like? How much turbulence do you feel? Is it scary?
would you do a flight program at a community college that cost around $50,000 all the way to CFII in two years and gives you an associates degree in some applied science . or would you go to college and do flight training on the side? the reason i ask is because i want to be a commercial pilot but i would like to have a degree in mechanical engineering or mechatronics in case i ever have to stop being a commercial pilot.
I’m planning to go to flight school within the next few months. I have narrowed my search to these three schools and would like to know what anyone has to say about them. I’m not sure if I want to fly commercial or corporate after school. I would like to know what will be best for the money and preparation for the future. Thanks.
